townsville wedding photography – Meredith and Bill
On a chilly overcast day in May, Meredith and Bill got married. I (Megan) was really looking forward to shooting this wedding. Before the wedding both Meredith and Bill seemed so relaxed, I knew this was going to be a day spent in great company.
The wedding had a classic, vintage theme. Getting ready at the ‘Classic Bed and Breakfast’ in Sturt street was in keeping with the theme. Everywhere we turned beautiful old windows, doors and arches framed our shots. I completely love Meredith’s simple and elegant look. The bouquets were by Townsville Flower market, the smell of those beautiful unique flowers filled the room.
Friends and Family gathered at St Mary’s on Ingham Road for the service and the rain lightly fell outside. Just when we needed to go outside for our location shots the rain stopped. Our first location was a high wall, on the median strip between 4 rows of traffic, we got some great photos. I must admit… I was afraid, very afraid but I think the shots were worth it. After a few more location stops including some essential photos with their beautiful puppy Jasper, the evening ended at Yongala Lodge. This beautiful old building was perfect for their wedding reception and the Photobooth was a hit bringing out the crazy creative side of young and old.
What really stood out to me about this wedding is no matter what was thrown Bill and Meredith’s way they smiled and took it all in their stride. Rain hail or shine I am sure they will have a wonderful life together. Meredith and Bill, we wish you a married life as beautiful and happy as your wedding day.
(apparently the men couldn’t quite figure out the flowers for the buttonholes… providing much amusement for Meredith who noticed the flower delicately sticking out of Bill’s pocket mid-ceremony!!!)
